Submit t-test Output + APA Write-up

📝 Instructions:

Using SPSS:

1. Perform a t-test (independent or paired samples) using either:

   • The class dataset provided in the course, or

   • A dataset you’ve collected or found online (must include at least two groups or two repeated measures).

2. Generate the SPSS output, including:

   • Group statistics table

   • Independent Samples Test table (or Paired Samples Test table)

   • Levene’s Test (if applicable)

   • Effect size (Cohen’s d: calculated manually or via SPSS syntax)

3. Write a results section in APA format, including:

   • A short introduction to the research question

   • Statement of which t-test was used and why

   • t-test results, formatted per APA 7th (e.g., t(28) = 2.45, p = .021, d = 0.65)

   • Interpretation of the effect size

   • One or two sentences of conclusion
