The results of the EFA produced a three-factor structure for the questionnaire measuring refusal strategies in money-related requests. The rotated component matrix showed that items related to indirect refusal strategies loaded strongly on Factor 1, items representing direct refusal strategies loaded on Factor 2, and items associated with politeness or mitigation strategies loaded on Factor 3.

Overall, the item groupings are theoretically meaningful and consistent with previous studies on refusal strategies. Indirect and direct strategies are clearly distinguished, while politeness-related items form a separate but related dimension.

However, there were some unexpected findings. A few items showed cross-loadings, particularly one item intended to measure indirect strategies, which also loaded moderately on the politeness factor. This may be because indirectness is often associated with politeness in communication, especially in certain cultural contexts.

In general, the factor structure is acceptable, but I would consider revising or removing items with high cross-loadings to improve the clarity and validity of the scale.
