A multiple regression analysis was conducted using Total Mastery and Total PCOISS to predict total perceived stress. The histogram and normal P–P plot suggest that the residuals are approximately normally distributed. The scatterplot of standardized residuals against standardized predicted values shows a fairly random distribution of points, indicating that the assumptions of linearity and homoscedasticity are reasonably met. In addition, the collinearity statistics were acceptable, with tolerance values of .722 and VIF values of 1.385, suggesting no serious multicollinearity. The Durbin–Watson value was 1.900, which indicates that the independence assumption was also met.
