The regression equation based on the unstandardized coefficients is:

Total perceived stress = 50.828 - 0.621(Total Mastery) - 0.175(Total PCOISS).

This means that both Total Mastery and Total PCOISS negatively predict perceived stress. The standardized Beta for Total Mastery was -0.422, which suggests that mastery was the stronger predictor of perceived stress in this model. In simple terms, participants with higher mastery tended to report lower stress levels. A practical implication of this finding is that helping students develop a stronger sense of mastery and internal control may reduce perceived stress in real life.

The model was statistically significant, F(2, 423) = 184.486, p < .001, and explained 46.6% of the variance in perceived stress (R² = .466).
