To assess the validity of my model, I will focus on CFI and RMSEA. Based on our course guidelines, 'good' fit is indicated by CFI >= .95$ and RMSEA < .06, while CFI >= .90 and RMSEA < .08 are considered 'acceptable'. I recognize that model fit should never be judged based on a single value; instead, a combination of indices should be used to form a complete picture.

These thresholds serve as practical guides rather than rigid rules. This is particularly important because Chi-square often yields significant results in large samples, even for well-fitting models. Therefore, I will prioritize a balanced set of fit measures. Although I have not yet performed the CFA on my data, these are the standards I will apply to determine the overall quality of my model in the next stage of my research.
