In this study, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was conducted using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as the extraction method and Varimax rotation to achieve a clearer factor structure. The Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin (KMO) measure of sampling adequacy was .78, indicating good suitability for factor analysis, and Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity was statistically significant (χ²(45) = 356.21, p < .001), confirming that the correlation matrix was appropriate for EFA. A total of 10 items were included in the analysis. Based on eigenvalues greater than 1, the scree plot, and factor loadings above .40, two factors were retained. The first factor included items related to unhealthy behaviors such as smoking and alcohol consumption, while the second factor consisted of items related to healthy behaviors such as exercise. The factor structure was generally consistent with theoretical expectations, with most items loading clearly onto one factor. However, one item showed a slight cross-loading on both factors, although it was retained because its primary loading was still stronger and conceptually appropriate. Overall, the results suggest a meaningful and interpretable two-factor structure.
