I've been in the market for a used Range Rover Sport for about two months now, and honestly it's been a real education. The first one I looked at was a 2017 model from a dealer in Ras Al Khaimah, looked gorgeous in the photos, but when I took it for a test drive I noticed a weird clunk from the rear over speed bumps. I almost ignored it but decided to get a proper check. That's when I learned about a range rover pre purchase inspection dubai service that actually puts the car through a detailed checklist including air suspension, transfer case, and checking for coolant leaks from the rear heater hoses which apparently is super common. That first car came back with a failing air compressor and a weeping coolant pipe behind the engine, big money to fix. The second car, a 2018 from a private seller in Jumeirah, had a clean service history but the inspection found evidence of a badly repaired rear accident, the chassis was slightly tweaked. The third car I almost bought from a guy in Abu Dhabi, looked perfect, drove smooth, but the inspection showed early signs of timing chain stretch which is a known issue on these Ford based V6 engines. I walked away from all three. I was getting so frustrated but then a friend told me to stop looking at lower priced cars and stretch my budget a bit. I finally found a 2019 that passed inspection with flying colors and bought it last week. The whole process taught me that you can't trust anything you see or hear from a seller. Get the inspection every single time, no exceptions. It saved me from three disasters.
