My topic: The Impact of Chat GPT on English Major Undergraduates’ Academic Writing Skills and Their Perceptions of Academic Integrity.

 Research objectives:  I would like to explore how Chat GPT influences English major undergraduates’ academic writing skills. Specifically, the study will examine  students’ use of Chat GPT in writing tasks and investigate their perceptions of academic integrity when they use AI tools for assistance. 

Research questions: In my opinion, I have got 2 questions to this topic:

  1. To what extent does using Chat GPT as a writing support tool influence the linguistic quality (vocabulary, grammar, and coherence) of English major undergraduates’ essays?;
  2. What are English major undergraduates’ perceptions of academic integrity when using Chat GPT for academic writing? 

 I will apply a mixed-methods approach, survey and interviews in this research in order to collect data

Your topic is clear and very relevant. The research questions are good, but the first one could focus on fewer writing aspects to make the study easier to manage. The mixed-methods approach is suitable, and adding a writing task analysis could improve the study.
