I am very interested in the way Ms. Dinh Tran Thuy Lieu introduced her study "The Impacts of Edpuzzle Mobile App on Listening Skills for Non-English Major Students at SaigonTech College." Here is why I think her writing is successful:
Clear Organization: The introduction is easy to follow because it is divided into logical parts like the problem, the goals, and the importance of the study. This helps the reader understand the "why" and "how" of the research immediately.
Strong Background: She does a great job connecting the study to modern trends like mobile learning (MALL). She also correctly identifies that listening is a major struggle for many students in Vietnam.
Finding the Gap: The author clearly explains that while there is research on technology, we don't know enough about using interactive video apps for non-English majors. This makes her study necessary.
Explicit Goals: The research aims and questions are very direct. They focus specifically on how the app helps and what the students think about it.
My own lesson
For my own project, I plan to use this same clear structure. I especially want to make sure my research questions are as sharp and focused as the ones in this paper.
