Survey Information

This post is based on the results of a survey conducted with HUFLIT students to examine their perceptions of the Website Hợp tác Quốc tế (HUFLIT International Relations Website).

Note: Although the survey was administered to HUFLIT students in practice, this file only includes items measured on a five-point Likert scale (1–5) for the purpose of this assignment. Open-ended questions with text-based responses were excluded to facilitate quantitative analysis.

Guiding Questions

1. What is the most surprising finding?
The most surprising finding is the strong interest in experience-based and practical topics such as Study Abroad UNLOCKED, Study Abroad HACKS, and Study Abroad TALKS. This indicates that students value not only general information about international opportunities but also practical guidance, real-life experiences, and actionable advice. These topics appear to be more engaging than purely informational content, highlighting students’ preference for applied and student-centered resources.

2. What do the central tendency values (mean/median/mode) tell you?
The central tendency values suggest an overall positive perception among participants. The mean scores for most items are relatively high, while the median and mode fall within the same upper range of the scale. This alignment indicates that responses are clustered toward agreement rather than being widely dispersed. Overall, the results show a shared and favorable view of the website’s usability and the usefulness of its Global Career–related content.

3. Are there any issues with outliers or skewness?
There is no clear evidence of extreme outliers or significant skewness in the data. The close relationship between the mean and median suggests a relatively balanced distribution. In addition, the standard deviation values indicate limited variability, implying that respondents’ opinions are fairly consistent. Therefore, the dataset appears stable and appropriate for descriptive interpretation.

I found your interpretation insightful, particularly your emphasis on students’ preference for experience-based content. This suggests that practical and relatable information may drive engagement more effectively than general descriptions. Have you considered whether responses might differ across year levels or among students with varying study-abroad intentions? Exploring this aspect could add further depth to your interpretation.
