My working research title is “Human–AI Collaboration and Self-Regulated Learning in Academic Writing: A Questionnaire-Based Study of HUFLIT ELS Students.” This topic focuses on how English-majored students use AI tools, especially ChatGPT, in academic writing and how such use may relate to their self-regulated learning behaviors.
The main aim of my study is to investigate the relationship between Human–AI collaboration and self-regulated learning in academic writing among HUFLIT ELS students. More specifically, the study seeks to explore how often and in what ways students use AI for writing, and whether this use supports important self-regulated learning dimensions such as planning, monitoring, revising, and evaluating their work.

How do students perceive the benefits and challenges of using AI in the writing process?
For methodology, I plan to use a quantitative approach, mainly through a questionnaire survey. This method is suitable because it can collect data from a larger number of students and identify general patterns in their AI use, perceptions, and self-regulated learning behaviors.
