What to observe while experimenting
Recursive splitting
Each internal node asks one yes/no question about one feature and sends observations to a child node.
Impurity reduction
The tree prefers splits that create child groups containing fewer mixed classes.
Leaf prediction
A terminal leaf predicts the class most common among the training observations that reach it.
Overfitting
A deep tree may memorize training details, producing high train accuracy but weaker test accuracy.
Training data preview
The included Iris dataset contains flower measurements and three species labels. Replace storage/data.csv with another numeric classification dataset when needed.
