In my research on using Kahoot to improve students’ learning outcomes, I would use an independent samples t-test.The study involves two groups of students: one group uses Kahoot in their lessons (experimental group), while the other group follows traditional teaching methods (control group). The data are collected from different participants in each group.

An independent samples t-test is appropriate because it compares the mean scores of two separate groups. This allows me to determine whether using Kahoot leads to a significant difference in students’ performance compared to traditional instruction.

Therefore, the independent samples t-test is suitable since it examines differences between two independent groups

Your scenario is quite interesting and clearly explained. I understand why you chose your test; however, I’m wondering whether your data come from the same participants or different groups. If they are the same participants measured at different times, a paired samples t-test might be more appropriate. Could you clarify this aspect?
